Members and Friends of Atkinson Congregational Church,

This fall, our church family is exploring what truly claims our hearts. Our 2026 stewardship theme, There Our Hearts Will Be, is rooted in Jesus' words from Matthew 6:21: "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Giving isn't a performance or an obligation. It is the quiet, courageous work of placing our hearts in God's care.

Key Dates

Stewardship emphasis: Each Sunday in worship, October 4 through November 8
Stewardship packet and pledge cards: In the mail beginning November 2
Stewardship Sunday (Consecration Sunday): November 8, 2026. Pledges will be blessed in worship, followed by a congregational luncheon.

What does "There Our Hearts Will Be" mean for us?

This season invites us to:

Re-center our lives on God's quiet, faithful presence.
Let our giving reflect our deepest values and commitments.
Align our actions with our confession of Christ.
Allow God to transform, heal, and renew our hearts.
Practice a generosity that is not performative, but rooted, joyful, and Spirit-led.

Faithful stewardship is not primarily about money. It is about placing our hearts in God's hands, trusting that where our hearts go, our lives, choices, and resources will follow.

How to Participate

Pray: Ask God to guide our congregation’s vision and your own response.

Pledge: Make a financial commitment for 2027 ministry. Pledge cards will be available in worship, or you can give online.

Serve & Share: Offer your time and talents; share the dreams you have for ministry at Atkinson Congregational Church.

God’s Word calls us to obediently “tithe” (give 10%) of what He gives us, to do His kingdom work. “Offerings” given to God are gifts above and beyond our tithes. Tithes and offerings are vital to the health of Our Church and provide for all the areas of ministry and outreach.

OUR GOAL IS 100% PARTICIPATION in giving to the Generous Future.

That might mean being lavishly generous or simply sacrificial…like sacrificing a fast food meal once a week and giving that cost to the Generous Future fund. What you give should be decided between you and God, and ask that you give in some way from a worshipful heart.

Prayerfully consider:

2 Corinthians 9:7-8 “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart what to give, not reluctantly of under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

We are asking that you prayerfully support and sacrificially give to fulfill God’s vision for the future of our Church. Come along side and be part of the next phase of our miraculous story, and prepare to be blessed.
